I thought I'd post a little something on my upcoming SCRUMCON historical game, The naval Battle of Alalia, to be held at the upcoming convention 29-30 March 24. (THIS MONTH) in Silver Spring, Maryland. I'm running this game in the afternoon shift, Friday. Scrum Con Website is here: scrum-con.com

My overview of the game and pictures from the recent playtest are here: link

I'm using Brian DeWitt's Greeks at Sea with a historical scenario. I got great feedback at the recent NOVAG game day and I intend to run a more ambitious (larger) game at HISTORICON.

Galleys are 3d Printed, crew figures are a mix of 3d prints (resin) and Rapier miniatures.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I hope to see you there!

I have no idea why this post got posted twice, nor why it repeats itself twice on each post. Sorry about that, I can't control that.

It looks like an interesting game. I've considered doing something with triremes but haven't gotten beyond making cardboard cutout ships to try a set of rules.

I've played Greeks at Sea with Brian many times (usually Friday nights) at the various HMGS cons. Your table looks fantastic and I like the scaling down to 1/300 scale (I'm assuming). Those 28mm galleys look great with Brian's games but it's quite a size commitment.

At some point I plan to pick up some mdf or 3D printed galleys for Greeks at War (already have the hex mat).

Good luck with ScrumCon, the event is a nice gaming weekend. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it this year.

Yep, they are at 1/300 scale. I really didn't want to go bigger because I've printed up enough (60-70 ships) to cover this scale nicely.
